Who are we?
The Mediterranean Climate House (MCH) is a Non-Governmental Organization active in climate action. It was established in May 2018, by the Mediterranean Climate House Foundation following the recommendations of the MedCOP 2016 held in Tangier Morocco, with a general objective of fostering climate action in the Mediterranean region.
The MCH headquarters is based in Tangier, and It is steered by the founda- tion’s Executive Office, who provides the legal framework and institutional support for the establishment of the MCH and the implementation of its action plan.
Our mission
To contribute to strengthening the power of action of local authorities and non-state actors, in terms of climate change mitigation, adaptation and resilience, by supporting them in the implementation of climate agendas at global, regional, national and local levels
To create a Mediterranean institution that is a reference in climate action; Act with local authorities and communities representing countries around the Mediterranean, with a geographical declination corresponding to the degrees of urgency and thematic priorities, all in a global and integrated vision capable of reversing the trends of ecosystems degradation
